General physical features of the Fulgurites from Cline Butte, Deschutes County, Oregon

OUTSIDE SURFACE:
FORM: Fairly straight, to slightly curved down the length of the specimen, usually equidimensional, tubular.  Small, secondary branches are often present, and small rocks are sometimes fused into the outside of the fulgurite.
TEXTURE: Fairly rough, non-glassy, formed in grey basalt talus.
SAND GRANULES: Fine-grained, non-fused grey basalt.
GLASSY INTERIOR:
COLOR: Very shiny black, glassy.
TEXTURE: Very smooth.
BUBBLES PRESENT: Numerous, microscopic.
