Gretna, Kansas D) 103.50 grams

ME-588 GRETNA, PHILLIPS COUNTY, KANSAS, USA Stone. (L5-6) “CM” REF: P. 155. “ARN’S” REF: P. 119. The Gretna meteorite was found in 1912. All specimens are slices, with a medium tan to dark red-brown color stone matrix, with profuse distribution of small, bright metallic flakes scattered throughout. Items A), B), and C) have no fusion crust, and are priced at $3.50 / gram. Item D), illustrated at the left, has fusion crust on one edge of the slice. The fusion crust is thin, brownish-black in color, very well preserved. Item D), with fusion crust, is priced at $4.00 / gram.

Leon, Kansas I) 73.10 grams

ME-589 LEON, BUTLER COUNTY, KANSAS, USA Stone. (H5) “CM” REF: P. 212. “ARN’S” REF: P. 175. A single mass, weighing 30 Kg, was found on a farm 7 Mi. So. of Leon, Kansas in 1943. The specimens listed below were taken from the 17 Kg piece held by the U.S. National Museum. The stone matrix is dark gray-black with rich distribution of very fresh, bright metallic flakes over most of the cut surfaces of each specimen. All specimens have fusion crust. Below, S = slice, and E = end cut. Pricing is @ $4.00 / gram.

ME-590 TATAHOUINE, FOUM TATAHOUINE, TUNISIA Stone. Achondrite, Ca-poor. Diogenite (ADIO) “CM” REF: P. 342. “ARN’S” REF: P. 307. Each of the specimens listed below is a complete, natural fragment. These were collected shortly after the June 27, 1931 fall. The visual appearance of this Diogenite variety of Achondrite is: light olive green color, criss-crossed by small black veinlets, and/or spotted with inclusions.
