If you would like to get away from it all on Memorial Day weekend, and do something different, come visit us during the Riverside Telescope Makers Conference and check out our extensive stock of meteorites, tektites, trinitite, and fulgurites! The annual RTMC will be held at the Y.M.C.A. Camp Oakes (8 miles east of Big Bear City, on Highway 38 at Lake Williams Road). This location is 50 miles NE of Riverside in the San Bernardino Mountains. Take Highway 38 north off of Interstate 10 in Redlands, or consult a Southern California road map if you are coming from locations to the north or east of Barstow/Victorville. A detailed location map of the immediate area is shown below for your reference. The RTMC is an open-air, informal, once a year convention opening each day about 9:00 A.M. and continuing until dusk. The sales area is flea market style. Admission is charged for either a day-use basis, or for weekend camping. There is an all day snack bar for quick meals.
This is your once a year opportunity to see our inventory of meteorites, tektites, trinitite, fulgurites, etc. in person -- otherwise, it is mail order only! If you would like to see specimens from the meteorite price list on our web site, please call, FAX, or email us with a list of your requests. We will be glad bring specimens for your personal inspection and evaluation!
