Chromato-Vue Viewing Cabinets

Chromato-Vue Viewing Cabinets from UVP provide a darkroom environment for viewing materials. The comfortable soft rubber viewport utilizes a contrast control viewing filter. This filter protects the eyes from harmful shortwave radiation and blocks the "blue haze" associated with longwave UV. Viewport has adequate space for eyeglasses. A lightweight access curtain allows for easy entry and blocks out external light.

A variety of cabinets are available to choose from including mini cabinets for viewing minerals and education uses to larger cabinets for chromatography applications. Styles to select from:

Mini Cabinets: C-10, C-10P, C-10E4, C-10E6

Mini Cabinet models (no UV source included): 

C-10 for use with Compact and Handheld UV Lamps.

C-10P portable cabinet for use with Portable and Portable/Rechargeable UV Lamps; lamps fit snugly in cabinet lamp rails.

C-10E4 for use with the 4 watt EL Series Lamps. Same design as the C-10P, but configured to hold the 4 watt lamps.

C-10E6 for use with the 6 watt EL Series Lamps. Same design as the C-10P, but configured to hold the 6 watt lamps.

Mini 6 Watt UV Lamp with Cabinet: C-15  

C-15 combines the C-10 Mini Cabinet with a shortwave/longwave, 6-watt Hand Held Lamp.

Mid-size Cabinet

  The C-65 includes an internal white light. Use EL Series 8 watt UV lamps with this cabinet - see Ultraviolet Lamps for more information. The C-65 accomodates one lamp or add an additional lamps for illumination from two sides of the cabinet. C-65 can be fitted with a camera mount and instant camera for chromatography and photodocumentation applications.

C-70G & C-71

Large UV Cabinets

C-75 - UV tubes are positioned on two sides to provide uniform fluorescence for studies such as thin layer chromatography. Cabinet can be fitted with camera and camera mount.

C-70G (shortwave) and C-71 (longwave) - tubes are situated on one side the cabinet for applications such as non-destructive testing or fluorescent sample viewing.
